Hello! I'm Katy, and this is my
blog! I work full time Monday to Friday at what I call my “day job” which is
working in Health and Safety which I really enjoy! As well as working at my “day
job” I am also a full time crafter. I have turned my crafting into a small
business (My etsy shop – link) I’m also a self-confessed slight hoarder of all
things collectable and i am an absolute book worm!
On
any given day you can find me curled up with my latest craft project, a cup of
loose leaf vanilla tea, baking scones, reading a book or power watching through
a TV series. I am also a self-confessed geek of some sort, I collect comic books and I am an avid watcher of the Battlestar
Galactica and also Star Trek TV series’, but not the original series of both.
I
collect many things including buttons, lip balm, nail polish, photographs, owls,
vintage items, necklaces, tea cups, stationary, DVDs just to name a few. I’m very
passionate about tattoos (currently working on my sleeves on both arms), crafts,
baking, horror movies and finding new teas to enjoy at my local Tea Specialist!
Recently I have just discovered that a
Narwhal is actually in fact real and not a mythical creature, I obviously
missed the memo when this was announced (I can sometimes miss things…) so I have
totally fallen in love with these so I expect to see myself posting about
Narwhals here in the not so distant future!
You
will never catch me without my nails painted and you will usually find that
they are either painted a shade of green, blue or purple! My hair changes every
couple of months, recently I have just had it cut to above shoulder length and
have dyed it purple, no doubt this will change in the next couple of months!
Recently
I have just purchased myself a Nintendo 3DS and I am back to being obsessed
with Zelda and also Final Fantasy 3! I am a gamer but nothing like I used to be
about five years ago, after discovering a lot of new crafts that sort of
replaced my passion for video games. I am however getting back into the swing
of things, so you will probably see some game related posts from me in the
future!
Random
Tidbits:
I
once completed the challenge of eating the Ashvale Whale and lived to tell the
tale! (You can find details of that here) If I start a book regardless
if it is good or not I have to finish it right to the very end! I have the
worst diet, I love eating chicken nuggets, fish finger sandwiches etc, i.e. kids
food! I love dinosaurs and have done from a young age, Jurassic Park is one of
the movies I can watch back to back without getting bored! I am a goal setter
and a writer of many lists, lists of things that i may or may not ever get
around to. I have a Frankenstein tattoo on my upper thigh that looks like
Barrack Obama (unplanned and also unfinished!)
I
live in the UK in Scotland in a city that to others is big but to those who live
here it is not!
