Alice in Chains - The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here.
First off what an amazing name for an album! I was totally drawn to considering how much i am obsessed with Dinosaurs, which i am due to be posting about in the next couple of week. Anyways back to the subject on hand, my album review for this Alice in Chains album:
I was fresh at listening to this album, i was only aware they had a new album out just a few weeks ago! I do enjoy listening to Alice in Chains but i have just never kept up to date with the news of the band. I love all the favourites like "Them Bones" to this day that song still gives me the chills.
The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here album, a lot of people online have been discussed how familiar they were with "Hollow" and "Stone", two songs of which i had not heard until i had actually in fact listened to the whole album.
You can get everything you would expect from an Alice in Chains album, sludgy guitars and a very grungy sound but in hell in a good way! This review is only based on my first listen to this album over the weekend, i will definitely be listening to it again soon!
Alice in Chains can still to this day capture the sounds and styles they have always wanted to achieve, they are very good and keeping the same sounds but making it fresh! Not a lot of bands can achieve this, and on such a great scale!
My highlights of this album are :
"Breath on the window" - This is by far the song i would strongly suggest to listen to on this album, it really got to me. I think i may have played this song more than once when i was listening through. It's always good to have a skip back.
"Low Ceiling" - This song is definitely my second favourite of the album so i strongly suggest to listen to this one too! You don't have to listen to the album in order!
And thirdly do you not just think it's a brilliant album colour, its bold and it has exactly what it is trying to draw up! I love it!
Thank you for reading :)
See you soon
x
