Hello,
For those
of you who read the blog A Beautiful Mess regularly you will know that in 2014
they have started off an Online book club, with the first book for the month of
January being “The Interesting’s” by Meg Wolitzer. At the end of each month they
will have an open online discussion on the book, which I thought was a really
good idea. I usually go for similar kinds of reads, a good thriller or crime
novel, so the book should expose me to books that I would not normally read.
For 2014, I
do have a goal for how many books I would like to have read for the year, so
this book club should help encourage me to at least get one book a month read!
So far for
2014, I have read “Smash Cut” by Sandra Brown and I am now half way
through reading “The Interesting’s” For it only being the second week in
January I am not doing too badly!
I have
noticed however that I am spending more time reading. My usual reading time
would only been when travelling on the bus to and from work. Now I find myself
reading on Sunday mornings before Noble gets up (as I am an early bird!)and I’m
also finding myself reading in the evenings. It’s quite nice dedicating a
portion of my day to disappearing into another world and hiding there for a
small period of time.
