Hello,
This will be my last post regarding quitting smoking until about
April. Instead of posting progress every week I thought I would now do it on a
three month kind of basis.
As I’ve said many times before, I have tried and failed many
times to give up smoking. Always falling back into the trap of thinking “I’ll
just have one, that one don’t any harm.” Which then turns into two, three and
so on.
Ex-smokers have always said that when they have given up for
good they just know. I thought the last couple of times I have quit that I just
knew, and boy was wrong! This time though something is very different, the
temptation doesn’t seem to be there along with the cravings that are usually
there. My stress levels are no higher than usual, which are pretty high anyway
as I seem to be the most stressful person it would seem!
Noble is a smoker and he continues to smoke to which we have
adapted to. He carries chewing gum in his pockets all the time so I no longer
have to endure the taste of cigarettes seeing as I have quit.
I have discovered that everything smells a lot different from
what you are used to when you have smoked for almost ten years. Some smells are
really inviting along with tastes, however some are really not.
Thank you for reading
Katy
